Made-in-Canada Paper Straws Launch – Startup company Green Circle Dine Ware is launching two eco-friendly product lines – Made-in-Canada paper straws and fully-compostable palm leaf dinnerware – at the Restaurants Canada Show Feb. 24-26 in Toronto, Canada’s largest foodservice and hospitality event.
“Our mission is to be the change we want to see in the world by helping the foodservice and hospitality industry move away from plastics and towards products made of natural materials that are harvested sustainably and decompose quickly,” said Geet Sheth (right), founder of Green Circle Dine Ware Ltd.
Green Circle is the first Canadian manufacturer of premium paper straws for bulk sale to the restaurant and hospitality industry. The straws are manufactured at Green Circle’s facility in Cambridge, Ont. from food safe, FSC-certified paper and materials that are FDA-approved.
Green Circle is also launching a line of elegant plates, bowls and cutlery made from pressed palm leaves that are fully compostable and food safe, free from any harmful waxes, dyes and chemicals.
